PS helps to repair cortisol receptors, stopping the release of cortisol, and has been scientifically shown to reduce cortisol levels in those taking the supplement. Some report slight side effects when using this nutrient, but can be reduced by taking it earlier in the day with a meal. The recommended dosage of PS to reduce cortisol is 800 mg daily. While not a dietary staple, try removing this product from your lifestyle for increased cortisol levels.

Glutamine

It’s a nutrient that’s been debated by doctors, but studies are still out on whether glutamine is successful at reducing cortisol. Glutamine is an amino acid already present in the body, but one which has showed some positive results in lowering cortisol. Decreasing the amount of glutamine produced in your body will help raise your cortisol levels.
