Close Relations and CFS

Those who have traumatic experiences in their childhood are susceptible to chronic fatigue syndrome in adulthood. This is what researchers in Atlanta has found out in their study. It was discovered that most patients who are suffering chronic fatigue syndrome have traumatic childhood experiences.

These traumatic experiences include sexual and physical harassment. It is also noted that some patients have experience verbal abuse and insults in their childhood as compared to those who do not suffer chronic fatigue syndrome in the control group. There is indeed a correlation between the patient’s childhood experience and what he or she is suffering at present.

This is a warning for all parents and those who are involved in child care. Extra effort to protect the kids from any harassment either verbal or physical should be considered. The study is also giving a hint for those who are caring for these people who are suffering chronic fatigue syndrome. Psychological healing is necessary for the cure.
