Dealing with chronic fatigue syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a medical condition wherein people suffer from excessive fatigue and weakness both physically and mentally, making it very hard to perform even the habitual tasks like eating, dressing or walking, let alone for cycling or driving. If someone develops chronic fatigue syndrome and leaves his or her condition uncured, this may result in various emotional and physical difficulties like depression, anxiety, frustration, becoming homebound, and so on. By keeping an open mind while undergoing treatments and therapies, someone can enhance the chance for improvement. Another essential part of handling this syndrome is to be really honest about ones symptoms and to discuss any feelings of frustration and difficulties with physician.

Feelings of guilt, anger, depression or frustration are very common to many who suffer from CFS. If these feelings are not considered emphatically, the physical symptoms may turn worse. Doctor or physician can help recover the physical condition of CFS. At the same time one should seek professional advices or counseling for improving the mental condition, which can truly help improve the physical symptoms. Thus by treating CFS both physically and mentally, one can unleash the best chance for an all-out improvement. Maintaining a notebook that keeps data of ones energy levels and daily activities, and carefully planned exercise program are also very important in order to get rid of CFS.
