Living Life with Fibromyalgia
Majority of illnesses only involves a certain part or a single system of the body. Fibromyalgia, however, involves the whole body and hurls all kinds of things to cause discomfort. Fibromyalgia may sound odd and very puzzling, but the symptoms are connected to very actual physical causes.
Fibromyalgia can suddenly attack anyone. An educated, professional, ambitious, hardworking and determined person can unexpectedly lose their ability to work, exercise, do household chores, think normally and even feel normal or fit because of fibromyalgia.
It is not psychological “burn out” or depression.
It cannot be labeled as laziness.
It is neither whining nor malingering.
Fibromyalgia is the effect of extensive dysfunction in a person’s brain and body that is very hard to understand and too complicated to treat. At present time, it is not possible to cure.
However, even if an incurable disorder sounds a climax, the principal problem for patients is accepting and living with it. The only thing that can lessen the dilemma of people with fibromyalgia is understanding and support of loved one’s and friends.
