The Damage That’s Done
Many believe that the damage done by fibromyalgia is severe and permanent, but believe it or not, the damage done by fibromyalgia is mostly mental. Even though there is an immense amount of pain that you are in when fibromyalgia flares up, there is no real damage done to the body. There are times when the bones in your body may ache from a flare up, but the bones are not actually damaged. It is merely the feeling the causes someone to think that their bones are being harmed. It’s also not just pain that you could feel. There are physical effects that can happen as well. Someone with fibromyalgia can difficulty sleeping, numbness throughout the body, and also tingling in the arms and legs. Aside from these effects a person can have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, depression, and anxiety. These are just a few of the reactions that can happen.
