Pain without pain relievers
Submitted by Parsley on Tue 12/08/2009 - 03:02
How should we describe fibromyalgia?
Can you remember the last time you had flu? How do you feel during and after the sickness? For all of us, it is an intense pain all over the body with concentration on the joints. Even after the flu, we still fell that we do not have the strength to walk or do the minor works in the house.
The good news with flu is that we do have flu vaccines that we can get to protect us. If it is not to keep us from totally infected, the infection will be less as compared to those without flu vaccines. In fact, those who have flu shots can go back to normal work a day after the fever is gone.
In the case of fibromyalgia, you get to experience similar kind of pain as when you have flu less the fever. This pain does not have vaccines. In fact, it cannot be categorized as a sickness. It is a syndrome.
The approach will be in case to case basis.
