More Quick Facts...

Hi Sandy, Unfortunately,
Hi Sandy,
Unfortunately, fatigue is one of the main symptoms of the condition, and not just the usual fatigue that many people experience. The fatigue of fibromyalgia is all-consuming and results in the feeling that you are walking under water all day.
Many people with fibromyalgia (as many as 90%) experience fatigue. Fatigue may be due to the condition itself or a sleep disorder, such as apnea, restless legs syndrome or others.
Medications may be helpful. Exercise can also be helpful (I realize that sounds crazy and is probably the last thing you feel like doing). Other therapies, such as relaxation exercises or massage might help you to relax.
You might think about talking to your doctor regarding your fatigue. Together you can decide what strategy to pursue. I hope you are able to pinpoint the problem soon and get some much-needed sleep.
