Hi mamaof4,
Wow, if you have 4 kids and fibromyalgia, no wonder you are tired! lol
Clonazepam can help with RLS (restless legs syndrome) and can also help with muscle pain and promote sleep. Unfortunately, it can also have daytime sleepiness as a side effect, as can any drug in the same category. It can sometimes leave you feeling hung over and tired.
You need to weigh the pros and cons of the drug if it affects your ability to function in the daytime. You might consider cutting back slightly on the dose and see if it makes a difference, You also might try taking it earlier at night so that it wears off sooner and does not make you sleepy in the daytime. If daytime sleepiness continues, you will have to decide whether taking the drug is beneficial for you.
Hope this answers your question!

Thanks Jennifer, That does
Thanks Jennifer,
That does help with my quesion and I will start taking the clonazapam mybe earlier and cut the dosage in half, I am also been prescribed gabapentin and tramadol during the day for the pain which I am sure contributes to my constant sleepiness but I would rather be sleepy though than the intense pain that I experience with out the medication because the pain can put me completely out of commision so I need to weigh my options then.
Thank you again for your response and I am constantly trying to learn everyday more and more on how this syndrome functions and what I can do to better myself :)
Try the Clonazepam earlier
Try the Clonazepam earlier and at a smaller dose and see what happens. Given that you are also taking Tramadol and Gabapentin, I am not surprised that you are exhausted.
I suggest trying it for at least a week, then re-evaluate.
Let us know what happens- maybe your experience will help others.
