There are side effects which may occur with any drug, and Lyrica is no exception. However, most people tolerate the drug well. Here are some of the common side effects:

dizziness
drowsiness
weight gain
constipation
dry mouth
fatigue
increased appetite
problems with coordination
edema (swelling) of the feet
headache

The symptoms listed above are some of the side effects that may be experienced, but just because some people have experienced these side effects does not mean that you will. If you do experience any unpleasant side effects from Lyrica, your dose may need to be adjusted. You should follow up with your physician periodically after starting Lyrica and be sure to mention any side effects to your doctor.

Many people with fibromyalgia find Lyrica helpful in decreasing their symptoms. Don't let your fear stand in the way- discuss your concerns with your physician, who will know from your health history if there are any health reasons why you should not take Lyrica.

Good luck!
